Much innocent amusement to be obtained by trying to apply the American Rules headings and terminology to the English Game Steve.

I hadn't realised that the American name for pool is pocket billiards. No wonder it changed when it became popular here!

I don't recall seeing a light van with a sliding driver's door recently, such as the ones the Royal Mail used to use for collecting the mail from post boxes. They used to whizz around with the door open and the driver without a seat belt, putting him (or her) in danger of flying out of the vehicle in the event of an accident, or even in the case of taking a left-handed bend too quickly, given the slippery nature of the shiny plastic seats.I wonder if this type of vehicle has been killed off by Health & Safety regulations?
The older I get, the better I was.

I may be imagining it but I thought I'd seen a UPS van of that type in the last year or two. Of course nowadays the driver would be expected to "clunk-click every trip".
