Not that I'd condone this type of behaviour about the signs, they will just be going for the "paper exercise" consultation and then do what they want to anyway. As for bus lane enforcement, the Chapeltown Road one has no problems with people driving down it, possibly as they're often people parked in them during its hours of operation. It's obviously a "zero enforcement" zone.
I like work. I can watch it for hours.

Same happens on lower part of Dewsbury Rd,Beeston Riponian. The locals obviously don't understand what these lanes are about. All this despite the police station being just around the corner and this area is passed by police patrols on a very regular basis.

I have been "banned" from the Leeds Civic Trust Flickr group, for posting my anti Folley bus pictures. http://www.flickr.com/groups/leedscivictrust/This group is for people to add their images of our great city whether in the present or the past. Please do refrain from adding anything of a political nature for example "anti-NGT" to this group. All photo`s will be subject to review before appearing in the pool from now on.

Join the club! I got banned from the flickr help forum for saying the new site design was rubbish! Take no notice.. Leeds Civic Trust should know what they are about and do their job properly. It's obviously far too an amiable alliance with L.C.C to upset the apple cart!

Both me and my dad got pulled over, outbound outside the uni, during the day, 15 years apart. Perhaps the police don't like us.

It's funny how the LCT can be 'non-political' when it suits, but then forget all about that principled stance when they're backing the follybus? The Machiavellian me is tempted to take a pic of The Adelphi and photoshop some tram wires and supports to the front of it and post it in their group, entitled 'A Vision of the Future'....

Just for a moment assuming the unthinkable and that this astronomically priced circus goes ahead I've mentioned earlier in this topic the childishly simple solution to the Adelphi and Garden Gate nonsense. I'm no electrical or highway engineer but no-one will convince me that its necessary to abuse these two beautiful buildings. In order to avoid any disfiguring brackets etc I'm sure that a small number of traction poles could be erected at each location on the opposite side of the road to the pubs. The route and spacing of the overhead wiring could be maintained by simply having a few longer horizontal hangers from those poles - simple thinking courtesy of our meerkat friends !!
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.
