No it isnt.Your picture shows what I think is the last incarnation of 'Websters' logo - different font, an apostrophe and the little'w' man has gone. The name now belong's to John Smiths/ Courage who took them over , but the brewery in Halifax (fountain head) closed in 1995 or 1996. - Beers continued using the Webster's name brewed at John Smith's in Tadcaster for a time but I think even this has stopped now. ( it was never the greatest beer it must be admitted - althought the hand-pulled 'Yorkshire Bitter' could be quite nice if kept properly. I remember having some reasonable sessions on it at the 'Rosebud' in Carlton many years ago.

I remember having some reasonable sessions on it at the 'Rosebud' in Carlton many years ago.     First game of Rugby Union I played was against Huddersfield YMCA and I was gobsmacked when we got our tea (potted meat sandwiches and onions in vinegar) and free ale - Webster Pennine Bitter (whether it was the same beer and Yorkshire was a rebranding I couldn't say) but on handpump in the Dusty Miller pub in Huddersfield that afternoon it was brilliant,

When I lived in London (wash my mouth out with soap and water) in the early 80s, Webster's was the only Yorkshire beer commonly found down there. It was followed by Tetley's (about '86,) but without the huntsman. The logo used was a star, if I remember correctly.

That logo was some sort of tortoise, wasn't it? I seem to recall an animated version in a commercial...Anyway onto the question.I don't suppose you've managed to sneak behind The Peel by any chance?? They had a similar sign up a few years but recently it's been inaccessable(or so I thought!)

No - you're right that the Peel had Webster's signage(I believe the Peel was originally owned by Hey's - a Bradford brewer taken over by Webster's) -but this aint it!
