Those prefabs were still there in the early 70s, when I first came to Leeds

I remember those prefabs, we had to use the Mechanics Institute on Holborn Approach for our school woodwork lessons back in the early 1970's and they were there then.In my opinion the horrible rabbit hutches built as council homes in the area are not one bit better than what they replaced, and they are only marginally better than the prefabs.

Would this be opposite harrisons almshouses? Today theres a big flight of stairs opposite near the statue and whenever i walk past it im always looking for the direction of the old road as you can see it veering off in a direction under the grass.Im confident its the right place as those bollards are still there but to look at it today you'd never know a road cut through it.You can still see some of the cobbles under the grass
