I'm dying to get this one. It's a mill in a possibly miserly part of a wood in Leeds

Isn't that too generous a stretch of water for a miserly wood?I was thinking further north west between two stretches of water, one manmade where horses used to pull the preferred mode of transport from the same bank all the way along. No ford for the horse in those days.

http://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?reso ... 668Looking at the ridge in the background, I'm not sure whether this is the Mill Pond with boat house towards Meanwd Rd / or the little Mill Pond next to it by the quarry tramway, on what is now Boothroyd Drive.Or whether it is of the Mill Pond BEHIND Woodland Mill (south of what is now Grove Lane)
http://goo.gl/maps/Y0OqAI think the latter.'cos if the Chimney is on the left, with buildings stacked up the gradient of the right hand bank ie Woodhouse Ridge - then it must, surely, be the reverse of this?I might be wrong on this, views??

This has been a good 'What & Where' as I would never have guessed the location. I thought it would be the River Aire around the Horsforth Woodside area. In view of the once mill pond there I wonder if the ground is still boggy or at least liable to flooding or poor drainage?
