I use an "app" on the iPad that taps into various webcams around the world and this one, it assures me, is in Leeds. It looks to me like it could well be, but where?

Is it Whitehall Road on the Wortley / New Farnley bit just off the ring road? I'm trying to find a streetview that matches.

I've been playing on Google Earth and I've a feeling you may be.I'd thought it could be the Sheepscar area but I wouldn't know where to start looking.

Forget Leeds.K2 Networks - Complete Voice & Data Installations - can be seen quite clearly in the top right hand corner of the shot. A quick google tells us that the firm is based in Barnsley, although they have customers all over the shop.Next, by screwing my eyes up until they almost bled, I could make out that the sign on the van read 'Making Markets Matter'.Again, a quick google established that this is the byeline for the National Market Traders Federation. And guess where their head office is.It is at Barnsley. To be exact, it is at...National Market Traders FederationHampton HouseHawshaw LaneHoylandBarnsleyS74 0HAAlmost there. I took a potshot on Google Maps at S74 0HA. Do the same and you will find that the 'Leeds' webcam has been beamed across to the People's Republic of South Yorkshire.Sorry I cannot represent GSV images on here but maybe one of you guys could.

Thanks for the detective work salt 'n pepper, I did google the Making Markets Matter but I figured it could be something to do with a Leeds market. They must have their internet hosting in Leeds, hence the app thinking that's where the camera is.This explains why Phil D didn't rush in with an answer in three seconds flat...

Leeds is home to a few internet providers and similar companies. It might be one of the things that helps Leeds stay important.Sadly, I am not part of it.
