I agree. The spire will be Burley Methodist Church on Cardigan Lane (can't be seen now from the same place on Google Street View as the trees have obscured it).The nun will have been on her way to the Sacred Heart RC Church on Woodsley Road (no longer there - now a mosque).I'll have a look at some of the other Can You Helps this evening - I haven't been able to solve one yet!

Can't be Burley Methodist as the nun is walking towards Cardigan Road (if it is Burley Lodge Road). There is only a long terrace on one side with the Kelsalls and Autumns etc on the other. The spire could be All Hallows.

My guess is that this is one of the demolished Holderness's, next to Royal Park school. That's St Margaret's on Cardigan Road in the background.http://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?reso ... MMENT=YESv similar to this pichttp://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?resourceIde ... 6_43696231

I think this might be Whingate Terrace in Armley, now demolished, only based on the alignment of the street when compared to the Godfrey Map. The large building could be the church on albany street, also demolished.http://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?reso ... OMMENT=YES
