The "latest version" of Sheepscar Street North runs from Scott Hall Road at the junction with Buslingthorpe Lane, runs almost parallel with the original version.This is the only sign that I could find.http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=43 ... &A=Y&Z=106

Talking of where a named road begins/ends I wonder if many (like I did until not that long back) think North Street continues to the Sheepscar junction and then becomes Meanwood Road beyond. In fact on coming on North Street out of Leeds the short stretch of road on the right of the old bank (in front of the car wash) is the last bit of North Street. What might seem to be the last bit of North Street there is the first part of Meanwood Road, being initially a short stretch of main road to the left of the old bank. I hope that makes sense!

It is very confusing, but if you try to look at the old maps it does make it look clearer.One of the best maps is one from the 1940's/ 1950s. It is very detailed and can be found in the library. Cant exactly remember which one it is but is a very large scale and great for imagining how things were!
