Doing porridge? This probably looks older than it is. An impressive building which I've noticed over the years.

Although I lived in Leeds for forty-years some of these places are like a foreign country to me. Woodhouse, Armley, Wortley etc. were/are places I rarely, or never, visited mainly because I never had the need to, consequently I enjoy visiting the "where is this" solutions on Google and discovering places I never knew existed. Keep it up.

As usual, the clue may have been in the question. This is from LEODIS.....View of Springfield Mount, initially the development of this street was investigated by Newman Cash, a ******Quaker****** cloth merchant who bought the land. Development was slow and sporadic, numbers 8/6 4/14 (plus 22,24,26) were all built by George Morton, wallpaper manufacturer for resale and completed by 1841. He lived at number 16. On the 1841 Census number 14 was occupied by flax dresser John Armistead. Number 12 was built in 1848, 10A was not completed until 1885, 10 dates from 1867. Number 8 has a dormer window and is one of the Morton houses. In 1841 a woollen merchant lived there.Needless to say, the asterisks do not appear on LEODIS.Good one JOGON.

The Hostel of the Resurrection, Springfield Mount. It's a grand place for sure, and if that Chapel still exists (which it should) It's one place I've never seen open to the public on heritage day, but it should be. It's a part of Leeds you'd not really go to, although it's very near the City. I only saw it for the first time around 5 years ago myself.
My flickr pictures are herehttp://www.flickr.com/photos/phill_dvsn/Because lunacy was the influence for an album. It goes without saying that an album about lunacy will breed a lunatics obsessions with an album - The Dark side of the moon!

Found a picture of what could be the chapel now, the only difference is there is a window in the area behind the altar. cannot post pic as I don't know how but if you google Springfield mount and look at images ther is a pic of what looks like a communal lounge area see what you think.

After looking at the old and new images side by side I would like to conclude that they are the same room just taken from different sides of the chapel, look at the doorway. The modern photo is taken from the altar looking towards the spot where the old photo was taken.
