An aspect I've not seen before, familiar (I know) to some on here.Photo taken on footpath at road level.But where from?If you know it, cryptic signal to keep it boiling Come on, have a go, don't be sheepish.

Not ultra familiar with this end of Leeds, though I did get an earlier one thanks to a number 91 bus clue. This also enabled Blakey to provide the exact date on which he started on that particular route on OPO, whatever that means. Steady on. Just kidding. Back to the teaser. Some confusion for me here due to the phrase 'footpath, road level'. Does this mean the footpath is a footpath footpath, or a pavement footpath? If you see what I am getting at.If it's a footpath footpath, don't bother reading on.And the paranoia doesn't help. Why did J have to tell us not to be sheepish?Is that an innocent call to arms or a vicious, cryptic clue?After much 'toing and froing' I can't get much further than to suggest it might be something to do with Roundhay but is nowhere near the park. And the former RU scrum-half called Kyran might find something familiar round here but it would not be his chosen sport.    

Couldn't give an exact spot but the elevation and view would put it just to the West of Scott Hall Road and South just south of Potternewton Lane. Is there at path up the other side of the field from the guided bus way?

I've never been there so I don't know, but it looks like it could be a view that I imagine might be seen from the high ground above Meanwood Valley Urban Farm. Could that be the "sheepish" crypticism?

Sorry.I was being lazy and sloppy with my terminology:-I meant to say FOOTWAY, ie pavement at the side of a carriageway / road.To clarify ‘Footpaths’ are not the same as ‘footways’ (pavements) and their legal status differs too:1. A ‘footpath’ is located AWAY from the carriageway, whereas a ‘footway’ runs alongside(path at side of road- eg Headingley).2. Cycling on a footway is a criminal offence (but Dept for Transport view is that Police discretion should be shown to minors and in circumstances for those whom cycling on the road would not be a safe option).3. By contrast, cycling on a footpath normally constitutes only a trespass against the landowner. If they prove they ARE the owner and ask you to leave, leave. This is a civil and NOT a criminal matter, i.e. neither the police nor a PCSO can take ANY enforcement action.If someone suggested you were breaking the law, or intended to do so, they are wrong and it would be defamatory.Instead, an aggrieved landowner can either ask a cyclist who isriding on a footpath over their land to leave, or they can go to court to seek an injunction and/or damages against them. Guess-timate £8,000, and so this just doesn't happen.4. A bye-law, however, can make it illegal to cycle on a footpath5. In 1994, the DfT confirmed “...that a cyclist pushing a bicycle on a pedestrian facility is regarded as a pedestrian.."Clear?
