That is one of the few 'What & Where?' that I knew! I will have walked by that site from at least the early 1980's but I may probably have never took any photos before it got redeveloped.One thing that always intriques me about the site's immediate area is the very long 'bridge' over Adel Beck. It just seems rather long, but no doubt there is a definite reason for that.

Perhaps swampy ground needed to traversed extending beyond just the stream?This pic from leodis looks odd.

I'm wondering what the restriction is on the bridge? Was it a Toll Road?

Back in the early 60s we as lads used to fish in Adel beck we caught a fair few trout not very big, about 9in or so,but great memories.It was great from the dam outlet down to the cafe by the babbling baby. Below that there was a storm drain from theBuckstone estate which killed it down to Smithy Mill
