I found myself on Sovereign St but wanting to be on Duncan St heading for Corn Exch/Call Ln.I don't have satnav, but rely on an old AtoZ + my knowledge of Leeds. But, I was faced with westbound one-ways. Gut feeling was City Loop>East Pd>St Peter's St>Kirkgate etc. There is a better way. By car. Obeying all traffic rules, one-ways, bus lanes etc.How + where?

Along Sovereign Street towards Malmaison/old LCT Headquarters where you have to turn left towards the Cockpit. Fork right before the Cockpit as if you are going to park in the NCP.Before you go through the NCP barrier turn right so that Trevelyan Square and Marriott Hotel would be on your left.Exit onto Lower Briggate - is it really called that? - with the Viaduct Showbar (oooerrrrr Missis!) on your right and turn left with the one-way system so that you will be turning right on to Duncan Street towards the Corn Exchange.Have I broken any rules officer?

You got it!Well - you might have told me that sooner I only found it 'smorning.Till then I'd either faff around the loop or go back then left at Asda HQ.Thought only I knew that..

There is another way, you can come out of Sovereign St and go straight ahead down Blaydes Yard then right to Heaton's Ct then onto Lower Briggate

Not related to this thread Jogon but I posted late last night to a thread of yours that was about a gruesome murder in Leeds. Though it should still do, that thread no longer appears in the active threads and has presumably been deleted for some reason. I suspect you may therefore have not seen my post which was a link to a BBC report about the murder.

Probably a second or two quicker aswell. Pretty important in this Olympic fortnight.Probably OK for Jogon on two wheels, but his Daimler Sovereign might have some bother getting round those tight corners. And I know which of the two routes I would opt for if I were on foot.
