Not sure what it is about the French style of minor stately homes but the 'pointy' (is it 'mansard'?) roof they use just looks great. The "Sitting on your asp" dragon ? I remember the area mentioned but I don't know exact location.

You mean Weetwood Caron, and I too think it's out that way, or the Headingley area just before it I've seen this before Jogon but am busy D.I.Y ing at the mo, just can't focus where I've seen it at the minute. Will get on the case later though if no one gets it soon
