Looks like the red brick of the Hotel Metropole.
Is it me or has Leeds gone mad

It's the building at the junction of Cookridge Street and Great George Street. I think it's a council building but has in the past been used to film one of the films from the Beiderbecke trilogy.

The old Grammar School. It was finance and planning among other things ten years ago as I had to go there to register for council tax.

You bet me to it Phill. I was just going to confirm what Salt n' Pepper said! It is a very eye catching roof construction.
