For this one, we go underground...Where is the architectural feature of Leeds, up close & out of context? And why is a city crest & date facing the wrong way, towards what appears to be a blank brick wall?If you would like to submite a picture to the competition, please email it to us at

It's not gates somewhere at the corn exchange is it? There are some stairs going down to the cellars outside.

But why is there a brick wall directly on the other side of them, even though you are looking out?

Sorry Munki - missed that bit!I think it is because this gate was raised and lowered something like a portcullis and the photograph taken from the inside.
