The 'eye' makes me feel that it belongs to some Insurance Co. premises . Giving me neckache looking for the cupola above it. Best place to look might be the East/South Parade areas.?

Is it by any chance the building at the bottom of Park Row? Near to Lloyds Bank?

Ah, it used to be called firkin and summat a few years ago! Feast and FirkinThere also used to be the Felon and Firkin in what is now O'Neils on Great George Street and I believe the brewery was in the bowling alley at Warner Village because the bowling ally sold their beer

I'll put a picture up later if I can, I'll take one on my way home from work. - wondering though why the all seeing eye would be put there. Not sure what the building was originally, I'm assuming it wasn't part of the cathedral.

Nice one LS1 - you've got it!!It obviously once was a masonic lodge - there's a 'Square and Compass' device in the arch above the 'to let' sign and there's a foundation stone at one corner laid by a lodge grandmaster.its a nice building - note the terracotta tiles - I.m surprised it hasn't been turned into the proverbial 'trendy wine-bar' as yet.

there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

Beat me to it! I realise now what it was after seeing the rest of the building. Any ideas what the stone says? I remember it says 1900 but nothing else! There are now three former lodges I think i know of, this, the one further down on the corner with Calverley St, and the one on Call lane. Anyone know of any others in the city?
