Looks like the allotments at the top of Gledhow Valley, didnt they do a tv documentary about them? At first I thought they were the St Anns allotments in Headingley, but I couldnt place the white coloured houses in the background, they look like somewhere off Lidgett Lane maybe? No, actually I just cheated by checking on Bing maps, the white houses are the Allerton Granges I think, and the terraced houses to the right are Northbrook Street.

Yep, without a doubt, now, the tower block is at the junction of Lincombe Drive and Larkhill Road, I dont know what its called though, probably Gledhow Grange or something totally twee sounding!

Way hay! Do i get a prize or summat? Its strange but I dont know this area particularly well, infact the reason I recognised the view was literally because it was similar to one of the camera shots used in the TV documentary from a few years ago. I've only ever been past this place a few times in the car on my way to Roundhay park or somewhere. Does anyone remember the documentary about these allotments? I think it might have been called (imaginatively) 'The Allotment'...?

Actually I just had a look and I was right, the TV show was called 'The Allotment' and it was first broadcast in 2004 - I thought it was only last year! must be losing my marbles? It was made by Yorkshire Television when Leeds still had a TV production company based in the city.
