A bus did go into the Regent many moons ago. I have a bad photo of the photo that used to be in the pub. Wonder where that went.

Well, I think Jogon's jogged off. (Bet Mrs J has had a go at him for not putting his socks in the washing basket).

I can't find a picture either Phill, but I remember the incident very well - I'm sure it was in the 1970s. It was a vehicle from Seacroft depot coming into Town on the 67 route from Monkswood Gate. The morning was very icy and instead of turning into Regent Street on emerging from Skinner Lane the bus went straight forward and into the pub, causing a lot of damage. It was one of the first batch of ten of the, then, quite revolutionary MCW Metrobuses and many theories were put forward. The vehicle which went into Ainsley's was an articulated bus on the number 1 route to Holt Park.
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.

So they've both been hit by buses at one time and no longer exist.
Is it me or has Leeds gone mad
