The City view from the North bunches it altogether and makes the city look quite small, the city is spread out very far from Southern locations. These are a good puzzle, keep em coming

Some lovely light after the rain yesterday. So I got this cityscape from the North, it's amazing how small the city appears from this direction. The distance between Bridgewater Place and the rusty B.B.C building looking nothing at all, if you take away the Lovell Park flats there is hardly any city at all.

Excellent photo Phill. It reminds me about the view going into Leeds down Scott Hall Road after Potternewton Road. Bridgewater Place always seems to be in the wrong place! I think it is an illusion caused by Scott Hall Road not directly going towards the centre of Leeds which it may be thought to do, so it makes it seem as if Bridgewater Place is too far to the right (that or I need new eyes!).

Thanks Leo, It was lovely light for photos yesterday, and today looks pretty similar. You can just see the two Luffing Tower Cranes you captured in your Trinity photo as well.

Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?

Actually I'm against not calling stuff what it is. Like:-'John Charles Centre for Sport""Knight's Way Bridge""Opal III"I've lived in Leeds all my life but if someone asked what/where Opal III was, I dunno. Did anyone else know these?View from Cas surprised me not seen thread. Consulted my Bartholomews WY Leisure map which is usefully colour coded Feet above Sea Level. Knowesthorpe to Cas is pale green being the low outflow river valley. So I suppose with a bit of geog and some logic it figures. Still surprise tho.High up here, from Cookridge Tower on a clear day we can see the three big power stations [See Pic] (left to right) Drax, Eggborough, Ferrybridge. No risk of flooding, but frost and rooftiles blow off.
