Another lift from LEODIS.So not where. More where from? And not what either. More what's missing?Identifying the building with royal connections on the left of the photograph would be a start.

Buffalo spot onI was completely wronghttp://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?resourceIde ... 171727View across Roundhay Road (seen left to right, with cars across the centre.) Beyond it is Roseville Road above where the parked cars are visible. In the middle-ground, left, the white building houses the Prince Albert Hotel in Boundary Place. Immediately above on the left is the old Kepler Council School which later, became Roseville County Secondary School and is situated in Gledhow Road. To the rear are buildings of St. James's hospital. In the background, left of centre are the high-rise flats, Shakespeare Towers, Shakespeare Court and Shakespeare Grange. The three blocks right of centre are thought to be Scargill Grange, Gargrave Court and Brignal Croft.Looking down from Barrack Rd I assume.

Well done everyone.Didn't spot that LEODIS had renamed the pub although the first contributor on the site had the name right. Vantage point is of course Barrack Road as J points out.So what isn't there that is now? But not for long by all accounts. One bit of trivia. One SLer (at least) is a former pupil of Kepler Council School, an impressive looking seat of learning. Traced a post by peterg who gave this information up.
