Yeah, we've had em all cleaned up so they are nice warm, desirable, des-res s now! Not like the first time I ran an open day there, where I had to spend two days literally shovelling rubbish out of them. Which reminds me... see the thread I am about to start in 'Days Out'.

Oh yeah i've just seen the thread you've posted.. I saw it advertised on the teletext on Sunday.. Are you running it munki? I don't suppose we can have an half hour in there when the public are not in to have a go with the magic torches to see if we can get any nice chilling ghostly shots in there to showcase on here by any chance...mate

It didn't become a city by Royal Charter until 13th February 1893, by which time, I guess people had got use to 'Town Hall'. Thank you for a prompt reply.Further to my query, what is the difference between a town and a city?

As a general rule of thumb a city is so called if it has a cathedral.. Although this isn't always the case as the Queen awarded Sunderland with the city status some years ago without one. I can't think of the top of my head but some very large places are still towns while much smaller ones are classed as city's..

Good one csnosi... It goes on population but i'd say Doncaster was a big un.. It all depends on the boundaries these days... Leeds stretches out miles but i don't consider half of it to be Leeds... I know the good folk of Morley are pretty annoyed about it
