HiI was wondering if anyone on here could suggest any sites for this photographic project I was discussing with a poster on another forum. " ...does any resourceful person on this forum know of any abandoned or runious churches (or church-like buildings) in the Yorkshire area, specifically around Leeds. There are, however some specifications, ideally it would be in a rural location with minimum street lighting (our experiment requires minimum light) and relitavely accessable by car. I know these are quite specific requirements and I would appreciate any help." Any ideas?CheersDave

I asked them that, he said:-"...the photographic project is a new method of photography that we believe has never been tried before (at least not on this scale), I can't disclose too much but the results should be impressive."I'll ask for more info...(Of course, he could just be reticent about telling us he's wanting some atmospheric old buildings as a backdrop to shoot his latest Goth Porn portfolio... )

Well i don't think i would post any details of any abandoned churches, well out of sight of residential areas, not very well lit, with good transport access, i'm sure that would attract the unwanted attention of every lead thief in a 200 mile radius. That's Just my p.o.v.

Aye, even churches still in use get their lead nicked!I think it's more 'ruined' buildings. Doesn't have to be a church. Can be 'church-like', or a farmhouse...

Hi David, if you get in touch with me on flickr, or elsewhere, there are lots of places that would be suitable. Up to the photographer to arrange permissions etc. Also, if you move outside the metropolitan area the world opens up considerably. How about a derelict chapel on a farm? Best of both worlds.HTH
