A quiet bonfire night ahead ?

With just over a week to go to bonfire night the lead up to the event seems less noisy this year.
Many public displays are not taking place.
It is difficult to imagine anything good coming out of the current state of affairs, record energy bills, more people relying on food banks and benefits more than ever, fireworks will be off the shopping list for many.but this could be great for many of us.
A less stressful time ahead hopefully for pets and their owners, the elderly and less well.
I personally love a good display of fireworks done properly, but the weapons grade devices available now are just noise created to annoy others-vandalism.

I was just remarking to a neighbour yesterday about how I had not seen any kids doing the 'Penny for the Guy' thing for a few years. Then, low and behold, there were a couple of young lads outside the local supermarket with a suitably depressing Guy in a pushchair. 50p well earned for them.
