Re: Cartoons
Good. Leeds based, though does the Queen look a bit like Princess Anne?

Re: Cartoons
Got to say I love the McDonalds coffee cup quietly added on the steps as well as the artwork.
Any chance it could be a weekly thing WR ?

Re: Cartoons
I have a few hundred cartoon in my collection, most were done for clubs/ societies, my clients, private eye , etc. The problem is they are not always related to Leeds and are only amusing when you understood the context. So if I get permission to post some more, I will need to explain why they were funny at the time that they were drawn, as you will see from my previous posts on the other pages. I don't want to be in trouble for posting cartoons which have a tenuous link to history etc and are no longer amusing. I don't do many cartoons nowadays because I am retired and have little inspiration or commissions, unless members want to suggest topics??

Re: Cartoons
I get Private Eye, but I don't always get the jokes. There's usually at least one in every edition which goes straight over my head so I'd welcome a clue.

We here goes!!
Before the Football World Cup, eveyone in the UK was displaying union jacks. England were knocked out in the first round!
This cartoon was funny and topical at the time but not now. It was done straight after the final whistle and published within 48 hours.

Re: Cartoons
One of my clients was the MD of Next, who supported Leicester, his local team. With a minute to go his team was beating Man United, but as often happened, the game was allowed to carry on until Manchester were winning. This particular game ended 5-2. at our site meeting during the week I was asked to do a cartoon to console the staff at Next. The original of this cartoon was framed for the Md's office. It's no relevance now, but was funny and topical when I drew it.

Re: Cartoons
I get P.E. every fortnight by post, love it.
First I check the crossword solutions to see where I went wrong and then the cartoons.
The rest I read a bit each day.
And yes, there are some jokes/cartoons that I don't understand as well
