SecretLeeds - History, culture and architecture in Leeds

It is reported on page 9 of the Yorkshire Evening Post today (Nov 20 2018) that lecturers at the school of journalism department at Leeds Trinity University (LTH) in Horsforth have allegedly been told in a memo to avoid using capital letters in case it scares students 'into failure'. LTH has defended the memo.

I know that the lack of use of capital letters has become quite common in recent years, though it does irritate me. I did not though think that using them might scare students! .

What a load of tosh i wonder what next, dont use comers it could give then an headache.

I have noy lived in Leeds for many years, so please excuse the question, but is Leeds Trinity university one of those, like London Metropolital university, that used to be a college mainly aimed at hairdressing and bricklaying?. It certainly sounds like it if that report is true

I believe it used to be Trinity and All Saints College at Horsforth.

As usual with these clickbait "political correctness gone mad" type stories, it turns out that the original piece was a little creative with the facts and, in face, nobody has "banned capital letters" at all. Quel surprise.
