Most alarming of all was the discovery of this evil looking creature on one of my shots as they were developed... I've no idea what it is or what i was trying to capture at the time. What do you think?

Fantastic film and still's there, i like the lone figure under the air shaft. it makes me think there's evil thing's lurking in the darkness just waiting for you to step out of the light. I used to play there as a kid and always wondered what was behind that entrance wall. You should release the soundtrack on it's own. Top job .

Many thanks Stodge.. Glad you enjoyed it & we helped your wish to take a look inside there. I've seen pictures from the mid 80's of the portal when it was bone dry.. The tunnel has seriously deteriated over the years. There was a lot of water flowing down the tunnel at a rapid rate towards the Leeds end. Thankfully it had created an 18'' wide channel through the thick mud in the last half of the tunnel so we could at least keep out of the knee deep mud for that bit. There's some my pics here mate.. Cheers!

Thanks csnosi... I just knew you'd like the AC/DC thrash.. I haven't put my air guitar down all week That little retaining wall is only holding back 30'000 tons of colliery waste from Middleton pit spoil heaps.

It doesn't smell bad actually... I think tunnels tend to have an acrid smoke taste... Hard to describe it really! We found some old Watney beer cans down there. wish i'd have snapped them for Drapsey now!
