There has been major gas pipe work going on for some time now at the Sheepscar Street South/North Street area near to the start of Roundhay Road, so I went to have a close look on March 7 2017. I thought (hope!) they may be of interest so these are some of the photos that I took. Roundhay Road is in the rear left of the third photo.

Some pics of the exposed tram lines (now filled in) at the bottom of Roundhay Road. Just between the old Victoria and the library.

I did ask someone working there if any tram tracks had been come across, though I thought there would not have been any just where the work was going on as they would likely have been nearer to Roundhay Road. I was told they had not come across any such tracks. It's always nice to see bits of old Leeds reappearing.

The gas pipe work ended a couple of weeks or more back. This is a photo that I took on April 10 2017 showing the neat finish that hides the major work beneath.
