Not a quiz as I don't know, so please what does this 'H' sign at the Corn Exchange stand for?

This 'H' sign at the Corn Exchange caught my eye today (Feb 24 2017) so I would please like to know what the 'H' stands for as I don't know. I probably should have gone inside the Corn Exchange to find out but that was not convenient. The first photo is a close-up of the 'H' and the second shows its location below and left of the clock and just right of a post.

Could it be a liberty taking Company advertising themselves,e.g. the HIVE hair salon which is a Ladies and Men's hairdressers.

Or it could just stand for Hyesore as that is what it is on such a lovely building.
