Wasn't the Leeds Supertram funding diverted to this? I have NEVER had a problem getting accross London when I've needed to and £16bn (which will no doubt turn into £30bn).The Supertram was a flawed idea but don't we deserve £500m of investment in some mass transit system? How in the hell do we benefit from the Olympics as Seb Coe says we will?

Nothing to do with SecretLeeds?!Just to clarify matters:This is not a forum to air your gripes about Leeds, the activities/inactivity of the council and anything else that takes your fancy/gets your goat - the legacy of the Olympics for example?!You are slowly making us lose the will to continue working on this site ...So please - a heartfelt plea to all users. If you want to complain about stuff, try the YEP letters page. If you want to share information about the many weird and wonderful elements of our fine city, then please enjoy the site!dsco[currently drowning in a sea of negativity]

Without wanting to spark another 8 pages of admin type discussions, wouldn't it be easier to just move his post to "General chat"?

I don't see why criticism should be censored . Surely " secretleeds " is the total of the contributions of all its users whether those contributions be critical or not .If critical threads are ignored by other users the thread will wither away .Is " secretleeds " only to post positive opinions of the effects of government and council decisions on the lives of the citizens of Leeds ? Dr. Goebbels would have approved of that .

Jeez. Also will there not be a finite point where all things secret Leeds are no longer secret? I thought this had become a bit of an on-line community. S'pose I was wrong.

Aye alright calm down...Don't think I've censored anything other than swearing so far. In fact, we've left up all the posts criticising the council, Marketing Leeds, Celebrate Leeds 2007, the site admins, etc. etc.Of which there are quite a few!So I'm not sure the comparison to the Nazi war criminal and infamous media manipulator is entirely justified...Anyway, I've moved the thread as suggested - all I'm trying to do is maintain some sort of focus for the site.dsco[clambering into a life jacket of positivity and heading for the exits]

Good work - don't take it personally, I don't think anyone actually thinks you're a war criminal - just maybe carry out a few more mod type activities like moving threads and locking them if they get out of hand without necessarily getting into discussions with those you are doing it to!At the end of the day, you're mods for a reason......And I think you're doing a sterling job with the site, it's still a useful and interesting place, we're just seeing people's characters....Matt
