Now I lived and went to school in Beeston (greenmount) and I remember a film crew making a TV show opposite the school on empty land .

It was some war tv show and had a huge replica of a bombed building with loads of foam bricks laying about the ground.

Now a couple of the kids in the school appeared as extras running from sirens In the credits.

I can not for the life of me remember what it was called.

This might not help but I think the show was on TV the same year that pie in the sky started lol.

Anyone that can help woukd be seen as brilliant my me.

Hi Peter :).

My instant thought was that it would be 'Seaforth' but on looking up information about that TV series it indicates there were no fighting war scenes, so I'm now very unsure. I do know though that by chance I happened to see a war scene being filmed in part of Harewood estate during a walk in the early 1990s and that I eventually saw the scene in the TV series which I felt sure was 'Seaforth' but it seems probably not. :?

I think that's right leoidian. Seaforth does ring a bell. Can't seem to find any videos of it and there isn't much online about the series.

Thanks again for the reply

There was a simulated explosion in Seaforth , but that was at a big house at roundhay , somewhere around park avenue.

I'd love to see some footage of them filming the show. Can't find a thing online
