Have been a member for three years or so and still can't find any subject that has gone off the board, e.g. would like to find topics like "Things you don't see anymore" but do not have a clue how to search the site.
Help would be appreciated. Regards Jack Daly.

Unfortunately the Search facility was inadvertently removed last time the site underwent a software update and Duncan hasn't got round to reinstatiing it. You can get your favoured search engine to search this site specifically and I posted in this thread http://secretleeds.com/viewtopic.php?t= ... 13#p114683 about how to do that with google, bing, yahoo and ask jeeves.
Beyond that its browsing only which I think you have being doing a bit of recently. So the home page contains the five most recently posted to threads between the first and second advert. To the right and just under the first advert are numbers 1 - 5 the word "ELLIPSIS" and at the moment 1083 followed by > . Clicking on > will move you to the next 5 (as will clicking the 2) when < will also appear. Clicking on any number will take you to (that number -1)*5+1 thread and the next 4.
Interestingly I've just noticed that the box to the left of the aforementioned 1 allows you to enter a page number so you could select a random number between 1 and 1083 and this is 1000 http://secretleeds.com/index.php?recent ... start=4995
From the home page you can also jump to any of the main forums and these pages display the 20 most recent posts in that specific forum but you can navigate to older threads in that forum in the same way you navigate the recent threads.

Hi Volvojack, The lack of an easy search facility for this site comes up from time to time. It has been mentioned before but
you can use the "site specific search" facility in Google just to search for topics on this site.
For example if you want to find anything that has been said on this site about "dark arches"
just type in the Google search box
dark arches site: http://www.secretleeds.com
or site: http://www.secretleeds.com dark arches.
Google will limit its search just to this website and give you the links to any message which mentioned "dark arches"
I hope this helps you find interesting topics in the SL archives.

It used to be said that the statue of the Black Prince had been placed in City Square , near the station, pointing South to tell all the southerners who've just got off the train to b****r off back down south!
