I normally append the existing thread but all searching appears to be disabled so I am unable to easily locate that thread.

Lights were up on the a61by the bus station yesterday and they appear to have gone up in the Calverley Street/Great George Street vicinity.

The Ladyboys arrive next week (what will happen to the RUFWC Fanzone?) for about a month to be almost immediately be replaced by the Christmas Market. St, Nick is on his way ;)

Thanks tyke bhoy for that :). The Leeds Festive Lights do seem to get put up ever earlier. In some places they seem to never get taken down, though I'm probably wrong.

I think the big switch on is a bit later this year Leo on 12th November http://www.leeds.gov.uk/Events/Pages/le ... -2015.aspx probably because the 5th coincides with the actual bonfire night even if most wil be on the 6th/7th/8th this year. Christkindelmarkt officially starts the day after http://www.leeds.gov.uk/Events/Pages/le ... markt.aspx but given it will already be constructed I am sure the food and drink stalls will be open on the night.

The lights in Calverley Street are usually changed to ice skaters to mark the coming of the ice rink and will stay up until the end of February or mid March. There are also some specifically related to the Leeds Film Festival
