Arriva Liveried Bus on Otley Road

Post by tyke bhoy »

Just in case anybody is wondering, the Arriva liveried blue bus that can be seen on Otley Road these days, as far north as Headingley, is actually being operated by Yorkshire Tiger. I think there are 3 stickers the size of side plates, with a tigers head showing, placed at strategic points around the exterior. I don't know if its merely on loan or has been purchased and YT haven't got round to converting the livery as they have on one or two other former Arriva buses running on the same 93 Route and presumably others*. They can't currently be short of buses because the 92 route which I think would need 3 or 4 of the fleet is University Term Time only and so hasn't run for over a month and won't run for nearly 3 more.

*The Yorkshire Tiger Fleet for Leeds appears to be a very eclectic mix of single deck and double deck designs including some middle doors not seen in Leeds fro sometime.

Yorkshire Tiger is owned and operated by Arriva
Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?
