Sorry if posted in the wrong section.
I saw a post about coins placed under the foundation stones of morley tunnel and the coin under the church in middleton and was wondering was this a common thing to do? was something placed under most foundation stones or is it just for specific structures? does anyone know of any others in leeds?

I was always led to believe that there is a 1933 penny under the Alter stone in St. Hilda's Church, Cross Green, Leeds 9.

Hi cap

.
A post of mine on August 17 2012 11:57 am in the following thread may be of interest:-
http://secretleeds.com/viewtopic.php?t=4269. My post is about the placing of coins and other items on August 17 1853 under the foundation stone of Leeds Town Hall. They may still be there!
