Leeds from the Air
Take a look at Leeds from a different angle. View a display of aerial images of Leeds from our collections in the Atrium, Ground Floor, Central Library.
This complements the exhibition ‘Britain from the Air’ on Victoria Gardens until Thursday 7 May. This exhibition from the Royal Geographical Society is a major national touring exhibition offering an exhilarating perspective of some of the UK’s most inspiring and thought-provoking rural and urban landscapes.
Using arresting aerial images – iconic, eccentric and surprising - from around Britain, it explores the stories behind our landscapes. Walk on the giant Ordnance Survey of Britain map and see the locations of the exhibition photographs. Also included is a snapshot of the history of the city featuring images from our collections.
