http://goo.gl/maps/z7OAwAlthough now largely offices there was more light industry / mixed use premises. Boar Lane may have been their Ground floor shop with all else up off Park Place. Guessing here, try trade directories.

I wonder where that was, as it is not named in a list of today's Leeds streets that I've looked at. If I read the document correctly that may have been where the fire was in the late 1940s that resulted in the end of work there.

There is an "Isle Lane" Hunslet indexed in my old A-Z ( circa 1970) as off Balm Walk. Exact location is not shown on the streetmap tho'.

My uncle Jack (John) Thackwray was the manager of "Geoffrey's" on Boar Lane from at least the late 50's up until it closed. I have many family portraits that were done in the basement studio. The shop was opposite Trinity church. Not sure if it became "Stone Dri" after it closed. Does anyone remember?

It ran from Balm Walk (runs off Stocks Hill) , passing the end of Tzar Street, The Isle Tavern, pic on Leodis, and then under the railway arches to Holbeck Lane. 1910 Tithe maps show this to be so.
