There is a report on page 17 of the Yorkshire Evening Post (YEP) today (April 24 2014) about a free drop-in cinema that will open at the end of May at the Merrion Centre. It is an event to "mark the shopping centre's 50th birthday". Both the online and the newspaper editions have a photo of part of the old Odeon cinema that was at the Merrion Centre but, currently at least, the online photo is very poor quality.

If I could choose 'No Country for Old Men' followed by 'Touching the Void', and be able to take my own chilled spesh + sausage rolls then that would be fun.

I liked No Country For Old Men so I'll look out for Touching The Void. If they showed them in the real cinema in there I'd be more happy though. As for the spesh -- only on weekends..
