I have come across information relating to organised visits in May during a ‘Yorkshire Geology Month May – June 2014’ that has visits to some Leeds areas that may be of interest, namely the Roundhay Park Geology Trail, Hetchell Wood, and Thorp Arch/Boston Spa. This is the link to the Yorkshire Geological Society webpage that has the full information about the visits and others that are not Leeds based:-

if anyone goes on the hetchell Wood walk,try and carry on to Pompocali nearby.Well worth seeing.
