Don’t think this will be a long term post, unless it develops into a moan about the state of the roads.Yesterday I reported a leak to Yorkshire Water that was furiously bubbling through the Tarmac on the out of town side of Morris Lane next to Norman Street/Row in Kirkstall. I would estimate the flow at several Gallons a second, the water reaching several inches into the air over a 6 inch square area. Returning from work at 19:30 I drove over the puddle at 20 mph and experienced a huge blow to my suspension. Touch wood the wheel and tyre appear to be OK and hopefully my suspension is likewise. However cars were lined up further along Morris Lane with destroyed wheels and tyres. Some were being recovered. Could I URGE EVERYONE TO AVOID MORRIS LANE Outbound especially if you’ve got a sportier suspension and low profile tyres. I have contacted Yorkshire Water to ask them to sort something out as the road surface is obviously destroyed to quite a depth. A chap who has abandoned his car in our street reports a least five disabled cars. This may have been going on all day as one of the Kids reports three different cars with, “flapping tyres” going up Spen Lane as he walked to school.Good day to be in the Tyre and repair business.
