You used to be able to get it at an "Irish Shop" in the market, but I don't know if it is still there. Certainly Sainsbury's do a sliced version which isn't bad.

Thanks Johnny.I haven't noticed an Irish Shop in the market but if one is there it would be a logical place to look.I assume you mean Kirkgate Market?I have been wandering around it for years but never noticed an Irish place.

Morrisons sold barmbrack, soad farls and Tayto crisps. My Ex was from NI and when Morrisons started stelling these things - especially the crisps - it saved the in-laws a fortune sending food parcels.I could never figure the hoo ha about Tayto crisps [or soda farls], they were nothing special........ although I'm probably the same with Wilson's pork pies!

I'd forgotten about potato farls. They always seemed to come as part of an "Ulster Fry". Something else that wasn't special. I always preferred chips.

Do Morrisons still sell Tayto do you know? Also does anywhere in Leeds sell Barrys Tea at a sensible price? Thanks

Hi Steve, yes I did mean Kirkgate Market. I know I have been to the Irish Shop because I got Galtee Cheese and Kimberley biscuits there years ago, but I couldn't say where it was really.
