I am trying to find a SL thread that was about an old water course from what is now Park Square area (or thereabouts) that ran into the River Aire. I have tried various search terms but have got nowhere. I recall that there was a least a map. If the thread can be recognised from my info I would be grateful if someone could please let me know where it is. Thanks.

Hi JogonDid you use the Google search which appears when you look at a thread in the top right,or the old search link which is pretty useless?I just tried the google search and it gave a few possibilities.i haven't time to check all being on my lunch, but I suggest you type in Park Square and watercourse and or culvert .This might help pin point it .The first hit i got was for a thread on "Another Culvert" which seems to be one that (as usual on here) expanded to include information nad maps on a lot of old watercourses!

Cheers Steve. I tried the Google search but still did not find the thread I want. I think now that Park Square may not be right and that the area perhaps had another name (assuming it was named). I seem to recall the thread mentioned the area had shall we say the higher class of people living there from where some water ran to the nearby River Aire. The thread must only have been last year but I cannot find it. My searching is clearly rubbish! The thread may have been started by Jogon but if not he did put in interesting information. PS. I'm Leodian, not Jogon.

Hi Leodian. It does take some finding, and I contributed to it! The best way I find is to enter "park square ornamental" into the site search facility, and it will take you to the correct thread.

Have a good hot mug of Horlicks later (or even now) to help get to sleep (so my mum used to give me but I may never have had Horlicks since I was a kid and I used to like putting a wet finger in the container to lick the powder off!).

PS. I hope you do not look like me Jogon as I would not wish my ugly mug on anyone else!
