I tried to log into the new look site whilst at work today.Whilst i could view it no problem and read posts,I couldn't log in as it didn't display anywhere to log in.i tried refreshing and logging in at different times but there was no log in displayed neither was there anywhere to join.Like many members i am permanently logged in so got straight on when using this laptop at home. Those of you in the same boat will not have noticed a problem but anybody who has logged out will probably find they won't be able to get back in again!

Hi SteveI never actually log out and have always simply gone off the site by either clicking on a white x in a red box (I use Internet Explorer) in the top right and subsequently closing my system down. As a result I always need to log back in but I've had no problems and have been able to do so today for example. I wonder therefore if actually logging out of SL may be the cause of the problem. What the Internetthingy does can be strange at times!

Although while we are on the subject of system idiosynchrasies, I notice that all my posts generate a paper-clip thingy as if they have something attached - even when they don't.

Interesting.I was using Internet Explorer but being the Civil Service it was Internet explorer 7.I was on the Secret Leeds .com site as the .co.uk is blocked (luckily they haven't noticed we have 2 addresses<G>)but it just showed me as anonymous.I use Firefox at home on both desktop and laptop.i didn't want to risk logging out to try in case I couldn't get back in! I assume you will have saved your passwords in your browsers though?I haven't saved mine at work as it is not allowed so there won't have been any cookies for it on the computer i was using.it was a laptop so will try one of our desktops when i am back in our main office next Wednesday.

As you were. The paper-clip thingy is only there when I am logged on. When I am in browse mode and logged off - no paper-clip.
