SecretLeeds - History, culture and architecture in Leeds

I have mentioned Leeds Chirons on a number of other threads. It is a rugby union club that went out of existence in 1988 having played home games on Soldiers Field for over 60 years. This thread is an attempt to locate any former players who would like to come along to our reunion in May 2013. I am sure there are lots of former players still out there that we haven't made contact with yet Since publishing my book about the club called Leeds Who? we have held two successful get-togethers at the Whitehouse, in Roundhay. Most of the former players are 'knocking on a bit' and so may not be into this 'internet stuff' but you may know someone, a friend or relative, who played for the club who would like the opportunity to meet up with former team mates. The event is very informal and we have had former players,at the first two events, from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. I am happy to contact anyone interested in coming along.Thanks

Thanks to the 35 people who looked at this thread but sadly from the views so far and the lack of replies it appears that nobody knows any former players. I thought I would give it one more go in the hope that the thread gets a few more views and perhaps someone reads it who does have a friend or relative who played for Chirons.We have had over 40 former players at our two previous reunions but there must be 100s more still living in Leeds who, if they knew about the event, would be keen to come along.I continue to live in hope!
