It seems that we have picked up quite a few new members from Facebook ,and unfortuantely lost some, since SL has been up and down. All of us at Secret Leeds would like to welcome new members and viewers and we hope that you will contribute to the site in the spirit in which we hope it exists a bit like the 70's TV show "How!" meets Last of the Summer Wine. For those of you who are new to the site may wish to look at this pagehttp://www.secretleeds.com/forum/default.aspxThis lists all the categories on the site, each category has a number of threads which can be seen when you click on the relevant link. Not all of these threads are active, that is to say that they have been contributed to recently, but they are open for anyone to add to and bring back to life so to speak.Any memory, picture or story that is relevant is welcome. However we would ask you to please check that your chosen subject is not already covered in another area before you start a new thread. This link will take you to the page with active threads, that is the threads that have recently been contributed tohttp://www.secretleeds.com/forum/default.aspxDuncan Scobie (SL monicker dsco, a.k.a Dunki),the site owner, has plans afoot to improve the site overall, including addressing issues with uploading pictures etc.Hopefully it will be more flexible and user friendly (improved search facility) and that this will add to the overall experience of the site.I am now going to say a couple of words which i hope other SL Admins/Moderators will agree with-Just a note to any new contributors, please remember when posting on threads please be respectful to other people and their opinions. No foul or abusive language please, think of how you would behave when visiting elderley relatives. Please remember that sometimes what we type at the keyboard as a post can be misinterpreted when posted, especially when there are debates going on,an innocent remark can be taken the wrong way,so please just be mindful. Many thanks for taking time to read.

This part seems to go by the wayside occasionally."Keep it cleanPlease don't use foul language, swearing or other offensive language on this site. There is an automatic filter for many swearwords which replaces the offending blooper with the words "<edited for content>". That sorts out many such incidents. However, some folks think using asterisks, blanked out letters, or other such things makes it OK to swear. It isn't, please don't do it."Kango.

Glad to be back!!! Happy New Years to all for 2013 & 2014. Discovered only today that site is up and running again, and looks to have been so for some time! I'd kept trying my bookmarked link for some time but without success. By dipping into Facebook this morning I found the link again. A bit of catching up to do on all these threads.
