Whilst we get over the current pyrotechnic mania, can we perhaps just consider the possibility of meeting up for a few hours over the Christmas (yawn) period ?I appreciate this may not appeal to everybody or indeed be totally practical in terms of individual locations, prior engagements and a whole myriad of other things.Yes,it's 7 weeks away to the actual week....but if anyone is game, then I would relish the opportunity of supping a pint or two with fellow SL'ers......albeit in a very informal way of course(sex pistol t-shirts,CND badges and outrageous shoewear all permitted).Just an outline proposal(one for Leo !) at this stage.....somewhere in Leeds centre,lunch/tea time.....anytime from early/mid december. What does anybody else think ????Anything to get out of an Xmas shop or similar....

Sounds good to me.I don't want to hijack anybody else's plans if they had similar thoughts and actively seek advice from our senior members(don't take that the wrong way !).Just thought I'd start the ball rolling....the more posters comment positively,I can keep a record of approx numbers to come up with a suitable watering hole.....(so long as it's not 300 in The Grove ..lol),then perhaps resurrect the idea a few weeks on from now ???Anybody got experience on previous meet ups or similar ?Copies of The Times newspaper, red rosettes, secret passwords and copies of The 39 Steps to be distributed at a later date !

good idea. The 21st of December is out for me as i am hosting an End of the world party that night in case the mayan prophecy crowd turn out to be right <G>.weekend is best for me and somewhere reasonably central (and with a decent pint!).possible suggestions:The Hop down the dark ArchesThe Grove in the pm as less crowded. The Victoria in the afternoon as less crowded. The Adelphi so we can all mutter about how they have ruined it<G>.
Steve JonesI don't know everything, I just like to give that impression!
