Hi SuviI don't know about that Red Kite but I saw one locally today in my part of north Leeds and it also is the first I've seen for at least a couple of months, despite 1 or more being used to be seen often. They do not seem to have been as commonly seen locally this year as the previous couple or more years, even in my country walks in local areas.

Saw a couple of these over the Meanwood area regularly during the summer, but now the weather has changed and I'm not out most weeks cutting the lawn, I can't say I've seen them for a while. I will look out for them when I'm out and about.Regards.

Saw five over the farm near Eccup res at the weekend. They shed their primary flight feathers in the autumn so don't fly very far, they,ll be back soon.

I saw the one from Gledhow Valley Woods last week. I was hoping to see it dive bomb a few of those pesky pigeons and have one away for it's tea. They don't take large birds apparently I've since read.

One spotted over Sheepscar yesterday morning, plenty in the Harewood area.I've seen one on the flanks of Little Whernside near Scar House reservoir, they're well established around Harrogate as well.
