The photo was taken on July 21 2012 and shows a commemorative plaque just inside Leeds Station on the right when coming into the station from near the Majestic. The plaque is not readily seen and things have certainly moved on since it was positioned. Teesland Group PLC has been part of the Valad Property Group since 2007 or 2008 (information I've seen is unclear on that) and Railtrack Group PLC (then as RT Group) was placed into member's voluntary liquidation in 2002.The plaque is a London Underground Award but I'm curious why London Underground were involved in a northern train station and also why the Lord Mayor of London came as Leeds is not at all near to London!

This would appear to be the related award from http://www.nrha.org.uk :The London Underground Accessibility AwardFor improvements in accessibility for mobility-impaired customers to an historic railway or tramway building or structure in any ownership, which respect and enhance its heritage character. Open to any entry.Which would make sense for the North Concourse. The award has probably changed name a bit over the years.
