A few days back as I was moving past a 'no win no fee' accident claims vendor on Lands Lane the vendor turned suddenly and I just managed to avoid being hit by the firms placard being carried. If I had been hit it could have been interesting to make a claim against a 'no win no fee' company! It's bad enough trying to avoid the numerous charity sellers in the centre of Leeds but it now seems that I also need to watch out for other things!

It's a bit mindless isn't it.Armstrong and Miller had a sketch on their show once re "accident claims". Wish I could post it for you but I've no idea how to do it. It certainly made me laugh.

Several years ago, I tried to stop a couple of car thieves by jumping on the bonnet of the (stationary) getaway car - a white Astra van. They drove off with me trying to break through the windscreen with my fists. Eventually, I was flung to the ground where I bust my head open and ended up in hospital with concussion. The nurse suggested I put in a claim, but I was turned down as the claim company said it wasn't a "violent incident."The police told me that they'd found a stolen and abandoned white Astra van with a smashed windscreen, but couldn't be certain it was the same vehicle as I only got a partial reg number. If I'd ended up dead, perhaps all involved agencies may have put in a bit more effort...

Cheers all. I liked the hilarious Armstrong and Miller video.
