The advent of the internet, mobile phones, downloadable d.v.d's, and online gambling games slowly killing off the good old night out and the art of socialising. I'm old enough to remember the Maggies den era bingo in the social clubs, It seems so long ago I was last in one it was Majors den.

Hi Jogon it used to be a cinema many years ago.In Pudsey all we have now are estate agents banks and cafes when a shop closes down this is what takes its place two new cafes have opened in the last twelve months. Two vacant shops next door to each other are in the throws of being turned into the Yorkshire Building Society just what we need.i dont think The market has been on its last legs for a long time now as Phill says things are changing but is it for the best i do not think so We have a massive new bus station that to my mind could be half the size we have six banks at least four estate agents four cafes and five take aways its not the place it used to be.

Hi somme1916 We might have a bus station but i would swap it for your shoping centre i never thought i would have to say this but i would rather shop in Morley than Pudsey. The problem with Morley is there is no land in the centre to build a bus station but the choice of shops is far better than Pudsey IMO.
