Yesterday morning on the BBC Leeds breakfast show, interviewing a spokesman for Brighouse Farmers' Market:"The great thing about the market traders is that everyone is an expert in what they do, for example, all these pork pies are made with meat from local cattle."Think about it....

Quite simply I dare not put into print what I think of Radio Leeds, and I'm not ashamed to admit that, like many more who I know, I listen to it simply to enjoy the endless self aggrandisment and "own trumpet blowing" and arrogant amateur interviewing technique of almost all the presenters and traffic bulletin men. There are a few commendable exceptions like, for example, Clive Settle and Michael Henderson who are "proper" broadcasters - but the majority could do well to listen to themselves, that's if they don't already do so to fill their leisure time

Anyway, getting back to the original point, well it made me laugh but I think most of us will have "enjoyed" pork pies with no idea what animal the filling has actually come from...

Not these days, he wouldn't. Just try doing a large cash transaction, particularly for something like a car in a dealer's showroom!
